Hwang is running against state Rep. Kim Fawcett for the 28th state Senate District seat, which is being vacated by longtime Minority Leader John McKinney, who is not seeking re-election.
Hwang, the current state representative for the 134th District, will be at the grand opening along with state Rep. Brenda Kupchick (R-132), and General Assembly candidates Laura Devlin (R-134) and Carol Way (R-133). Other town officials and dignitaries will attend as well.
“All are welcome to attend this grand opening event as we officially kick off election season in Fairfield and energize voters and our neighbors ahead of this key election cycle,” said Republican Town Committee Chairman James Millington.
