The crash took place around 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 10, when the woman lost control of her vehicle while traveling southbound on Route 25 just before the split in the highway near exit 5, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
The woman was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled over and then brust into flames, Jones said.
She was rescued by members of the Bridgeport Fire Department and was transported by ambulance to the hospital, he added.
Her condition is unknown.
Bridgeport Fire extinguished the fire quickly.
Currently, members from Bridgeport fire, police along with state police are on the scene investigating.
