Chris Pecora, 20, of Rakozcy Avenue, was charged with dangerous weapons in a motor vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

His passenger, Deldar Malaka, 18, of Knapps Park Drive, was turned over to Bridgeport police for a warrant there, where he was charged with second-degree assault, police said.

A K9 officer working a drunken-driving patrol saw a 2003 Ford Ranger pickup carrying Pecora and Malaka traveling west on Kings Highway East at a high rate of speed, police said. He stopped the vehicle and his dog, Jagger, searched the pickup, finding the drugs and supplies, as well as a set of brass knuckles, police said.

Pecora was released on a promise to appear in court on March 23. He was transported to Bridgeport Police Department, where he was charged for second-degree assault, police said.
