Police: Two Leaf Blowers Reported Stolen In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – In a sign that it must be fall, two complaints about the theft of Echo leaf blowers were made Thursday in Fairfield, police said.

A man working on Glover Street said a $500 Echo 770 backpack blower was taken out of his truck in the 45 minutes it took for him to mow a lawn, police said.

Between 3 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday, a resident on Cummings Avenue said an older model Echo 2-Cyclone leaf blower was taken out of his yard, where it had been stored under a cover, police said.
