FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield man was charged with breach of peace after he threw a bag of food at a pregnant McDonald’s manager because “his sandwich wasn’t made properly,” police said.

Geoffrey Weglarz, 55, of Fairfield Woods Road, began yelling at the drive-through staff at the chain’s Black Rock Turnpike location at about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports. He eventually drove away but returned to the restaurant’s front door and banged on the door until an employee told him he could not enter the restaurant, police say.

Weglarz then returned to the drive-through window on foot, where he screamed at the store’s manager and threw his bag of food at the woman, police say. He continued to bang on the drive-through window until police were called, according to the report.

Weglarz was charged with a breach of the peace, a misdemeanor. He was released on a promise to appear in court, and his hearing is scheduled for April 9.
