FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield man was charged with driving under the influence after leaving the scene of a one-car accident on Holland Hill Road on Friday night, according to police reports.
The driver appeared to have lost control of his car during the evening’s wet conditions, and the car hit a telephone pole, police say. When police, arrived the car was empty, according to the accident report.
Officers later found Theodore Guest, 22, of Edgehill Court near the accident scene. Guest appeared to be intoxicated, and failed field sobriety tests at the scene, police say.
Guest was charged with driving under the influence, evading responsibility and failure to drive on the right. He was released after posting $250 bond and is due in court on June 17.
