FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Fairfield woman was accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home and attacking his new girlfriend Tuesday morning, according to police reports.
A Coral Drive resident called to report the incident shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect cut open a screen door on the man’s home to gain entry, and then began striking the victim in the head, according to the report. The victim had scratches on her arm and reported head pain, police say.
The resident identified the attacker as Jessica Rodrigues, 34, of Country Road, and described the clothing she was wearing and the car she used to flee the scene, according to police reports. Rodrigues and the car were found at her home, and she was wearing clothes that matched the witness’s description, police say.
Rodrigues was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief. She was held on $5,000 bond and was taken to court Tuesday morning.
