When officers arrived, they determined that Robert Waldo, 39 of Fairfield, had grabbed at Jaclyn Esposito, 31, also of Fairfield, and that she had smacked him in the face during the fight, the police report said.
Officers also found that Waldo was in violation of a protective order issued in April, police said. The order states that he is not to have contact with Esposito, police said.
Police charged both Waldo and Esposito with breach of peace. Esposito was released on a written promise to appear in court Monday.
Waldo was held on $25,000 bond and was taken to court on Monday as well. No information regarding their court appearance was available.
