Naugatuck Woman Arrested On Drug Charge In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A 23-year-old Naugatuck woman was arrested for possession of narcotics after police saw her driving erratically on Tunxis Hill Road Sunday, police said.

An officer stopped Jessimar Rodriguez, of Wisteria Drive, on Kings Highway East after he saw her nearly collide with another vehicle around 11:30 p.m.. police said.

Rodriguez submitted to a breathalyzer test and blew a .164, more than twice the legal limit, police said. She also told police she had marijuana in the car and officers found drug paraphernalia and a small jar with an oxycodone pill in it, police said.

Rodriguez was charged with possession of narcotics, operating under the influence and failure to obey a traffic signal, police said.

She was released on $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 3, police said.
