Man Killed After Car Crashes Into CT House

A Connecticut man died after losing control of his car and crashing into a home on Wednesday night.

Christopher Cannizzaro, 51, of Tolland, died around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday after hitting the home at 85 Charles Street in Tolland, said Connecticut State Police.

According to state police, Cannizzaro was traveling north on Deerwood Road, continued through the intersection onto the Charles Street property and into the home.

Officials said the home's foundation was damaged.

First responders from the Tolland Fire Department responded to the scene of the crash where Cannizzaro was pronounced dead, officials said.

It is unknown if any residents were inside the home at the time of the crash.
