Shortly before 6:30 a.m., Public Safety officers contacted police asking them to come to campus after they stopped Richard Sankar, 20, of the Bronx, N.Y., police said.
In November, Sankar had been warned verbally by campus security and with a written ticket from Fairfield police about trespassing on the campus.
He told officers that he knew he wasn’t allowed on campus but said a friend had dropped him off there, police said.
Police charged Sankar with first-degree criminal trespassing and released him on $100 cash bond. He is due in court on Dec. 16.
