Officers from the Milford Police Department received a report of a crash near the intersection of Bridgeport Avenue and Ormond Street during the evening commute on Thursday, Sept. 28 involving two drivers, one of which fled the area.

According to police, several witnesses were able to provide investigators with the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle, which led them to Shelton resident Donald Pagliaro, who was subsequently taken into custody by officers.

Pagliaro, 55, was arrested and charged with evading responsibility and following too closely. After being processed on the charges, Pagliaro was released and issued a ticket to appear in court on Oct. 25 to answer the charges.
