FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A woman reported that a man exposed himself to her while she shopped at Kohl’s department store in Fairfield on Monday, according to police reports.
The woman told police that she was browsing in the store when a man circled her Monday afternoon, police said. She then saw that the man was exposed and performing a lewd act, according to the police report.
Store employees followed the suspect out of the store and gave police his license plate number, police said. The plate was traced to a Bridgeport address and a person there told police that the man driving the car at the time of the incident was no longer there, according to the report.
Police believe the suspect was a man who had previously been arrested for similar incidents in Fairfield stores in 2010. The victim described the suspect as a skinny, tall black man, about 25 years of age.
On Monday night police received word that the suspect had been admitted to Bridgeport Hospital, according to police reports. The case is still under investigation.
