ID Released For 25-Year-Old Victim Of Fatal Hit-Run Involving Jeep Grand Cherokee

State police have released the identity of the 25-year-old man struck and killed during a hit-and-run incident on Route 63.

Tony Goncalves of Derby was struck and killed around 7:30 a.m. Sunday on Route 63 near the Naugatuck-Bethany town line, said the Connecticut State Police.

Investigators are looking for a 1997 to 2001 green Jeep Grand Cherokee that fatally struck Goncalves Sunday and then fled the area.

State police said the Jeep in question would have front-end damage, including a broken or missing front headlight.
