Four Cars, One Used In Bridgeport Shooting, Stolen In Fairfield, Police Say

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Three vehicles, one of which was used in a Bridgeport shooting this weekend, were all reported stolen from Fairfield Friday, police said.

A fourth went missing on Saturday.

All four cars were left unlocked and three were recovered in Bridgeport.

A Jeniford Road resident reported his Jeep Cherokee, valued at $20,000, was stolen outside his home sometime between midnight and 7:30 a.m. June 30, police said.

The Jeep was found in Bridgeport, where police were checking it for fingerprints because it was involved in a shooting there, Fairfield police said. No further details were available.

A Wormwood Road resident reported her Volkswagen, worth $5,000, was stolen from outside her home sometime after 9 p.m. June 29, police said. She found the car on Connecticut Avenue in Bridgeport the next day.

A 2010 Honda Odyssey, valued at $13,000, was stolen from outside a Crestwood Road home between 10:30 and 11 p.m. June 30.

That car was recovered on East Main Street in Bridgeport.

On July 2, a woman reported her mother's car missing from her driveway on North Benson Road. The victim left for vacation on July 1, leaving her 2007 Subaru Forester unlocked in the driveway.

When the daughter passed the house on July 2, the car, valued at $7,000 wasn't there.
