FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A Bridgeport woman was accused of having more than 45 grams of marijuana while driving through Fairfield, according to police reports.
Tiffany Drury, 20, was stopped while driving on Tunxis Hill Road because her license plate was not clearly visible, police say. While talking with the driver the officer reported smelling fresh marijuana in the car, according to the police report.
The officer found 45.6 grams of marijuana in individually wrapped bags under the driver’s seat, police said. Drury faces additional charges because the arrest took place within 1,500 feet of McKinley School, according to the arrest report.
Drury was charged with possession of more than a half ounce of marijuana, illegal manufacture of sale of drugs, and possession near a school, all misdemeanors, as well as motor vehicle charges for a failure to display a license plate and driving without insurance. She was released on a $500 bond, and is due in court on Jan. 22.
