Fairfield Teen Struck By Car On Stillson Road Sunday

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – A 15-year-old Fairfield resident was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center on Sunday evening after he was struck by a car crossing Stillson Road, police say.

The teen left a car stopped on the side of the road and began crossing the street Sunday evening, according to the police report. A car traveling east on Stillson could not stop in time and drove into the boy, sending him up onto the car’s hood, police said.

The pedestrian complained of arm, back and head pain at the scene and was taken to the hospital, police say. His injuries did not appear serious, police say.

Investigators found that the teen was not at a crosswalk and was at fault in the incident, according to police reports. He was issued a verbal warning for unsafe use of a highway by a pedestrian, police said.
