Timothy Dutter, 22, of Cider Mill Lane, was charged with three counts of sixth-degree larceny for the three incidents in 2015, police said.
Officers caught up with Dutter early Monday, when he was found trespassing with two other men, police said.
An officer dispatched on a suspicious person call on May 29, 2015, recognized the suspect, later identified as Dutter, as the person caught on surveillance video stealing from town liquor stores, police said.
Dutter admitted to having stolen a 750 ml bottle of Southern Comfort that was in his backpack, police said. Questioned further, he said he had been stealing from liquor stores for a few months and admitted to two thefts at That’s the Spirit Shoppe and one at Fairfield Wine & Spirits, police said.
He also admitted to a fourth theft, but there was not a photo of that incident, police said.
Just after midnight Monday, officers found Dutter and two others trespassing at a house under construction on Mayweed Road, police said. All three were charged with simple trespassing.
Dutter was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 27.
