A substitute driver finished the morning route after police stopped the bus in the 1000 block of Fairfield Beach Road, the story said. One of the students became worried about the driver and alerted her mother, who alerted police, the story said.

Police were met at the scene by school officials, the story said, and no decision has been made yet about any disciplinary action or charges against the driver.
