Original story: FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Police issued a silver alert for a pair of Bridgeport teenage sisters who were last seen in Fairfield on Tuesday night.

Carmen Cotto, 16, and Angelica Cotto, 14, both of East Avenue in Bridgeport, were last seen at Marshalls department store on the Post Road at about 9 p.m. Tuesday. The girls' father had dropped them off at the store to meet their mother, a Marshalls employee.

The mother was unable to take the girls home and asked them to return to their father. He had already left the area by that time, and the girls have not been seen since, police say. Police do not believe the two had money or other means to leave the area themselves.

Anyone who can locate the sisters is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840.
