One case occurred in August 2008. Felix Santiago, now 33, of Bridgeport was hired to do work at a Fairfield condo complex at that time, according to police reports. He was reportedly paid $2,600 for his services but never completed the contracted work, police said.
A warrant was filed for his arrest in 2008, which was finally served Jan. 12 when he turned himself in at Fairfield Police headquarters, according to the arrest report. Santiago was charged with third-degree larceny, a felony, and held on a $2,600 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 30.
On Jan. 11, Jack Socci, 21, of Norwalk was arrested in connection with a case reported in August 2009. A Vermont Avenue resident reported a burglary in which a flat-screen television, a DVD player and assorted jewelry were stolen from a house, according to police reports.
A palm print taken from the scene was sent to a laboratory for testing, and was matched with Socci, police say. He is currently serving a prison sentence on burglary and robbery charges, according to state judicial records.
An arrest warrant for Socci was served at Bridgeport Superior Court on Jan. 11. He was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, and third-degree larceny, both felonies. His bond was set at $10,000, and he was arraigned that day.
