FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- After a custodian at Fairfield's Dwight Elementary School reported the glass front door was smashed Tuesday afternoon, surveillance video showed the culprit was the FedEx deliveryman, police said.
Police reviewed the surveillance video of the school and witnessed a man dressed in a FedEx uniform kicking the glass door twice at about 11:50 a.m. Tuesday before delivering a package to the back door, police said.
The school district is asking for restitution for the $200 broken door and that the person responsible be arrested, police said.
Police said FedEx was contacted but told officers the company was unable to give the name of the driver in the surveillance video.
