The Fairfield Police Department took part in the sting incident in the interest of public safety. It paid off: A total of 10 men were arrested, including one who brought along a box of condoms and another who brought a loaded gun and duct tape, according to the Post.

“Hansen vs. Predator” is hosted by Chris Hansen of Stamford, who previously hosted “To Catch a Predator” on MSNBC and on "Dateline NBC."

For the show, staff members pose as underage minors on Internet chat rooms and social media platforms, police said.

During the conversations, staff collect incriminating information. They arrange in-person meetings at a predetermined location outfitted with hidden cameras, microphones and law enforcement at the ready.

The location of the recent bust was a home in Fairfield.

Police said the homeowner had made a private deal with the producers to host the show.
