Fairfield Police: Expensive Designer Bags Stolen From Two Cars

The first bag, a brown Louis Vuitton purse valued at $3,800, was taken from a 2012 Black Cadillac Escalade parked on the north side of Lake Mohegan, police said.

The wallet contained credit cards and personal papers, police said.

The owner told police that the purse was taken between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., police said.

The second purse, a beige Hogan bag valued at $4,000, was reportedly taken from a car parked on Old Dam Road between 10:45 a.m. and 2 p.m.

The bag contained a blue Hermès wallet valued at $1,100. The purse contained a driver’s license, American Express credit cards, Citi credit cards and $180 in cash, police said.

An iPad and an iPad case valued at $300 were also taken from the vehicle, police said.

Jewelry, which the owner said was headed to the jewelry store for repairs, was also taken from the car, police said.

Police are investigating the two incidents.
