Fairfield Police: Car May Have Hit 70 MPH In Post Road Crash

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A car that may have been traveling as fast as 70 mph jumped a median, hit a light pole and rolled once before coming to rest in the parking lot of a medical office building early Saturday in Fairfield, police said.

A witness saw the car carrying two people speeding westbound on the Post Road just before the Fairfield rotary around 3 a.m. Saturday, police said. The car veered onto the Post Road business access road and then came to rest in the lot outside 425 Post Road, police said.

The two passengers were taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, police said.
