Fairfield Police: Camera, Wallet Stolen From Unlocked Cars Overnight

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Fairfield police are urging residents to lock their cars after another two thefts from cars left unlocked overnight.

A thief made off with a $400 Canon Powershot digital camera in an unlocked car parked in a Davis Road driveway sometime between 8 p.m. on July 28 and 10 a.m. July 29, police said.

A Kings Highway West resident reported a theft from his unlocked vehicle in the early morning hours of July 30. Taken from the center console was a black leather wallet containing his driver’s license, credit and gift cards and a piece of paper listing all five of his children’s names and Social Security numbers, police said.
