The bullet shattered the glass and lodged in a bedroom closet of the unoccupied apartment on the building’s south side, police said. Police believe it was a larger caliber than a BB gun.

The building’s management noticed and reported the damage around 1:15 p.m. Saturday.

The Trademark, which features a state-of-the-art fitness room, an outdoor fire pit and a heated saltwater pool, began leasing apartments this summer. Rentals in the complex, which is at the corner of Commerce Drive and Black Rock Turnpike, start at $1,955 a month.
