Management at the Black Rock Turnpike shop told police Brittany Hallenbeck 30, of Laurel Avenue, Bridgeport, left with the bag with $984 in cash on Jan. 14. She was terminated Jan. 19, after the money was never deposited, police said.

Hallenbeck, who was picked up on a warrant in West Haven on April 9, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, police said.

She was released on a promise to appear in court on April 20.
