Fairfield Police Arrest Florida Fraud Suspect

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Fairfield Police arrested a local man wanted on fraud and probation violation charges in Florida on Friday, according to police reports.

Kurt Justinius, 54, of Fairfield was charged with being a fugitive from justice by police Friday.

Police received reports of a man that appeared intoxicated and in need of help on Sherman Green on the Post Road at about 2:40 p.m. Friday, police say. The man had difficulty standing and slurred his words during talks with officers, according to the arrest report.

Officers found that Kurt Justinius, 54, of Church Hill Road, had an active warrant for his arrest out of St. Augustine, Fla., police say. Justinius is facing fraud and probation violation charges in Florida, according to the St. John’s County Sheriff’s Department database.

Fairfield Police charged Justinius as a fugitive from justice Friday. He was held on $250,000 bond and is due in court May 21 for an extradition hearing.
