FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A Fairfield man was charged with threatening and reckless endangerment after an altercation with family members ended with the suspect pointing a knife at two brothers-in-law Saturday, police said.
Police were called to a Pierce Street home after receiving reports of a fight involving a knife and possibly a gun. Officers arrived at the scene and found Mohamed Moussa, 23, pointing the blade at two other men, according to a police report. He initially ignored the officers' requests to put the weapon down until he was placed under arrest with the help of the K-9 unit, police said.
The victims told police Moussa became angry with his wife and struck her on the thighs, according to police reports. During the fight, he threatened her brothers when they tried to intervene, police said. No firearms were found.
Moussa was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, two counts of threatening, interfering with police and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was held in lieu of a $10,000 bond and taken to court Monday.
