Clear all snow from the windows, roof and hood of your car so your visibility is not impaired when driving, and so flying snow does not jeopardize other drivers.

Take it slow. Four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive provide better traction, but will not help you slow or stop in slick conditions.

Plan for extra travel time.
