Fairfield Cops: Woman Tried To Steal More Than $1,000 In Clothing At Kohl's

FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A Fairfield woman was arrested Saturday night for attempting to steal $1,120 in clothing from Kohl’s, police said.

Shortly before 9 p.m., employees noticed Josephine Lawrence-Lewis, 54, of Park Terrace, attempting to conceal the clothes in reusable bags she had brought to the store with her, police said.

Lawrence-Lewis was charged with fourth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear in is court on Sept. 6.
