Eammon Donnelly, 30, of Newtown, was arrested in December in connection with burglaries earlier in the year on Redding Road and Stella Lane. Donnelly is also awaiting trial for other burglary charges in Monroe, Westport, Easton, Darien and Newtown, according to Connecticut Judicial System records.
Investigators identified Donnelly as a suspect in another burglary in Fairfield last October, police say. A Waterville Road resident told police that $7,000 in jewelry and silverware, plus $200 in cash, were stolen from the home Oct. 15, according to police reports. Investigators believe the suspect entered the house through an unlocked side door earlier that day.
Donnelly, who is in police custody awaiting trial, was taken to court Wednesday to face new charges. He was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary and one count each of conspiracy, fifth-degree larceny and second-degree larceny.
