Members of the Milford Police Department took custody of Stratford resident Amanda Hazel, 35, who had an active warrant out for her arrest after she allegedly took an estimated $4,300 from rue21 on Boston Post Road in March and April while she was employed there.

Police said that Hazel is also accused of stealing more than $240 worth of merchandise from the store during that same stretch.

Hazel was arrested on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and charged with two counts of larceny. She was released on her own recognizance following her arraignment and scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 30 to answer the charges.
