Elderly Man Reports Being Carjacked From Fairfield Gym

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Bridgeport and Fairfield police were investigating a carjacking reported Monday by an elderly man, according to NBC Connecticut.

The victim told police that a man with a gun approached him at Fitness Edge on Kings Highway Cutoff in Fairfield and ordered him to go to Seaside Park in Bridgeport, where he was let out of the car and the carjacker fled in the vehicle, NBC Connecticut reported.

The man was not injured, the story said.

Fairfield police said they were actively investigating the report in an attempt to verify what had happened.
