AR-15 Rifle, Bulletproof Vest Stolen From State Police Cruiser

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — State Police are warning Connecticut residents that a bulletproof vest and an AR-15 Rifle were stolen out of a locked marked cruiser overnight in Milford.

Between midnight and 4:30 a.m., a marked Connecticut State Police cruiser was forcibly broken into on Rutland Road in Milford, police said.

An unknown suspect, or suspects, smashed the windows, entered the cruiser and stole several items, police said.

Taken from the trunk was a State Police bulletproof vest and an AR-15 rifle, police said.

Anyone with any information is asked to immediately contact police by calling 911 or Text TIP 711 with information to 236748.
