He was born June 11, 1990, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in San Diego and moved with his family to Fairfield at age 5. He attended Sherman Elementary, Tomlinson Middle School and graduated from Fairfield Ludlowe High school with the Class of 2008. He was a varsity athlete and captain of the Fairfield fencing team.
He was a 2012 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, earning a bachelor’s degree in information technology. Upon graduation, he was quickly hired as a Web developer for Dixon Schwabl in Victor, N.Y.
In January 2014, he joined the team of Accelerate Media of Rochester.
While at Sherman, Bond joined the Tiger Cubs and Cub Scouts and crossed over to Troop 82, Boy Scouts of America, where he was an active scout and leader. He served in many leadership roles with the troop, including senior patrol leader, and earned his Eagle Scout badge July 17, 2008.
He also worked as a camp counselor and administrator at BSA Camp Sequassen, where he had spent many wonderful summers as a scout developing his love of the outdoors, which remained central to his life forever. His other interests included progressive music, VW Golfs, Frisbee, cycling, eclectic unusual movies, cool Legos and computer gaming.
Bond is survived by his parents, Byron and Lisa Bond; his sister Caity and brother Garrett; and his grandparents Cheryl and Jim Byfield and Rochelle Saperston. He is also survived by three uncles; one aunt; and five cousins.
A memorial service for Bond will be held Friday, May 22, at 11 a.m. at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to: Brian LeClerc, esq., Trustee, 75 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460, or made here. Funds will be used to refurbish and expand the Frisbee golf course at Camp Sequassen in Connecticut.
