Domkowski was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Larksville, Pa., to Paul and Frances Smigelski. She graduated from Misericordia College in Dallas, Pa., in 1938 with a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics, receiving a teacher's certification. She relocated to Bridgeport and worked at Manning, Maxwell & Moore (Dresser Industries) in Stratford as a time study analyst. After marriage she moved with her husband to Milford in 1954 to raise their family. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Milford and a founding member of the St. Mary's Guild.
Domkowski is survived by her children, Teresa (Chester) Galemba of Shelton, Robert (Susan) Domkowski of Milford, William (Debbie) Domkowski and Paula (David) Sogan of Guilford; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, William Walter Domkowski; sisters, Pearl Kotinsley and Eleanor Hickman; and son-in-law, Dr. Philip Zywocinski.
Calling hours are Friday, Nov. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8 at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford. Burial will be private.
