Stephen M. Kucky, 90, Of Fairfield, WWII Vet, Worked For Sikorsky Aircraft

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Stephen M. Kucky of Fairfield died Saturday, May 25. He was 90.

Kucky was the son of Thomas and Mary Duysik Kucky and was a lifetime Fairfield resident. After serving in the United States Army during World War II, he worked as a machinist for Sikorsky Aircraft. He was a parishioner of St. Emery’s Church and was a member of the St. Emery's Senior Citizens Club.

Kucky is survived by his daughters, Susan Thomas, of Durham, N.C., Linda O'Connell (Douglas), of Torrington, and Marianne Farrelly (Patrick), of Maple Grove, Minn.; four grandchildren all of Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Lillian Hensel Kucky.

Calling hours are Wednesday, May 29 from 10 to 11:15 a.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 at St. Emery’s Church, Fairfield. Burial will follow at Lawncroft Cemetery with full military honors.
