Gura was born and raised in Stamford. She was a retired manager for the Hudson Paper Company. She was a member of the Rosary Society.
Gura is survived by her sisters-in-law, Eleanor Forster, of California, Marion Dypa, of Stamford, Ella Gura, of Easton; nieces and nephews; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew; siblings, Grace Strba, Sophie Lamourerux, Jennie Hamilton, and John Dypa, Jr.; niece, Denise Abad; and nephew James Dypa.
Calling hours are Thursday, Sept. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral will take place Friday, Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, and at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Fairfield. Interment to follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery.
