FAIRFIELD, Conn. A service will take place Monday in Darien for Christopher D. Perez of Fairfield, formerly of Darien, who died Sunday, Aug. 19.
Perez, 27, drowned in a swimming pool while dog-sitting at a home on Evergreen Hill Road.
He was born Nov. 19, 1984, in Sharon, Conn., to Peg Perez of Darien and Manny Perez of Fairfield. Perez attended King-Low Heywood Thomas School and Darien High School. He worked in a drug rehabilitation program as a sober companion from 2003 until 2008.
Perez was predeceased by his grandparents, Jane and Chuck DeVinne, of Madison, and Molly and Manuel Perez, of Newburgh, N.Y. He is survived by his mother, Peg; his father, Manny, and his wife, Janet Shaw, and their daughter, Alexandra Shaw; and an aunt, Kathy DeVinne Reinmund, of Boynton Beach, Fla.
Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew Memorial Garden in Madison. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke's Parish in Darien. Swan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
