SOUTHPORT, Conn. - Sarah Goodhue Waugh Moore, lifelong resident of Southport, died Tuesday, March 26. She was 57.
Moore was born July 19, 1955, in Norwalk, daughter of Sarah (Sally) Waugh and Samuel Waugh. She graduated from Greens Farms Academy and attended Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland, the University of Wyoming at Laramie and Sacred Heart University.
Moore was employed in the insurance division at G.E. Capital. She assisted children with disabilities and volunteered her time with the Pegasus Program. She volunteered for the American Red Cross, the Fairfield Women's Exchange and worked at the Pequot Library book sales.
Moore is survived by her mother, Sarah (Sally); siblings, Sandra Waugh Winans of Vienna, Va., Stephen Waugh of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., Frederic Waugh of Fairfield and Amy Waugh Curry of Easton; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Samuel
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6 at 11 a.m. at Southport Congregational Church. Interment will be private.
