Sara Trembeczki, 87, Of Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Sara Trembeczki, of Fairfield, passed died Dec. 20. She was 87.

Born and raised in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret Fogarosi Trembeczki and wife of the late Philip Sara. 

After graduating from Bassick High School in Bridgeport in 1946, she worked as a secretary for First National Bank. 

In addition to caring for her husband and children, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with family and friends. She also was talented at creating ceramic art pieces, several of which are now family treasures. 

She is survived by her children, Gary Sara of Stamford, Janet Marotto and husband Joseph of Stratford and Laura Dwinells and husband Willard of Trumbull; grandchildren, Matthew Sara and wife Ashley, Stephanie Sara, Mark Marotto, Johanna and William Dwinells; sister, Margaret Rosenthal and husband Albert of Shelton; sister-in-law, Rose Trembeczki of Monroe; brother-in-law, David of Shelton; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ann Boyle; and brothers, Joseph and Frank Trembeczki. 

Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. Services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church on Huntington Green with the Rev. Amjad Samuel officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
