FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Ruth Dingwall of Fairfield died Jan. 12 at Carolton Convalescent Hospital. She was 96.
Born April 9, 1916, in Bridgeport, Dingwall was a resident of Parish Court in Fairfield for the last 30 years. She enjoyed reading and playing cards with family members and with the other residents at Parish Court and the Carolton.
She is survived by three children, Douglas Dingwall, of Hewitt, N.J., Kenneth Dingwall, of West Nyack, N.Y., and Jean (James) Brooks, of Jackson, Miss.; a brother, Burton Van Hise, of Milford; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Spear-Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Port Jefferson, N.Y.
