Visokay was born in Bridgeport to William and Agnes Pringer Visokay. He lived much of his life in Fairfield, and moved to Milford in 2000. He was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, and Fairfield University (class of 1957). An insurance adjuster, he worked for General Accident, as well as owning his antique shop, Grandpa's Garage. He served briefly in the Connecticut National Guard Reserve.
Visokay is survived by children, Stephen Visokay (Alison), of Va., Susan Morazes (Mark), of Milford, Mark Visokay (Eden) Zielinski, of Texas; six grandchildren; sister, Barbara Repko (Benedict), of Fla.; brother, Richard Visokay (Joan), of Fairfield; aunt, Margaret Pringer of Trumbull; members of the Meyer family; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Joan; an aunt; and two nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 13 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 14 in the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. in Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private.
