Born Jan. 15, 1920, in Bridgeport, he was the son of Charles and Margaret Wilson. A Fairfield resident since 1953, Wilson graduated from Central High School and served in the Army during World War II.
He was married to Helen Wilson, who predeceased him. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the Bridgeport Brass Company. Wilson was also a member of the American Legion George Alfred Smith Post and a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
Wilson is survived by a son, Peter M. Wilson, of Fairfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by seven siblings and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Wilson.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Spear-Miller Funeral Home in Fairfield. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Fairfield. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Fairfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1719 Post Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
