Mary Margaret Panigutti, 98, Of Fairfield, Worked For Fairfield County Hunt

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Mary Margaret Panigutti of Fairfield died Friday, June 21. She was 98.

Panigutti was born in Bridgeport, daughter of Peter and Maria Poinelli, she had been a lifelong Fairfield resident. She was a longtime employee of the Fairfield County Hunt Club, and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel in Monroe.

Panigutti is survived by her sons, Louis Anthony Panigutti, Jr. (Carol) of Southport, N.C., John Peter Panigutti and Raymond Joseph Panigutti both of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a cousin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Louis Anthony Panigutti, Sr.; son, Ronald Paul Panigutti; brothers, Leslie and Joseph Poinelli; and sisters, Helen Mario and Sr. Angelina Poinelli.

Calling hours are Monday, June 24 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A Tridentine Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25 at Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Monroe. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
