FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Mary Quinn Lee of Fairfield died Jan. 11. She was 92.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of Michael and Ellen McLoughlin Quinn. She graduated from Girls’ Latin School and Boston Clerical School. Before marrying John Harris Lee, she worked as a secretary with Loomis, Sayles & Co.
Lee was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Ladies Guild, Gaelic American Club, Council of Catholic Women and Junior Philomethia Club of Boston and was a board member of Catholic Charities.
She volunteered with the St. Thomas Aquinas Altar Guild, American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. She was a Eucharistic minister at St. Thomas Aquinas for 30 years. In 1992, she received the Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice papal honor.
Lee is survived by a daughter, Charlotte M. Lee, of Fairfield; a son, Kenneth R. (Raisa) Lee, of Fairfield; and two grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Joseph F. Quinn; and a nephew.
Visitation is 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home in Fairfield. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
