FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Margaret Balog Fazekas of Fairfield died Aug. 30. She was 89.
Fazekas was born in Bridgeport to Stephen and Mary Balog. She was a resident of Fairfield for many years. Prior to her retirement in 1982, she was a seamstress with Greenfield Cleaners for more than 40 years. She was affiliated with the Christy Lynn Dance Studio. She was a longtime member of the Hamden Elks Club.
Fazekas is survived by her daughter, Sandra Richards (Garfield) of Stratford; and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Fazekas.
Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road, Fairfield Center. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Sept. 5 at City Harvest Ministries, 499 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
