FAIRFIELD, CONN. — Lyn Ann Klein, 80, of Fairfield, died on Wednesday, April 1.
Born in Bridgeport and raised in Black Rock, she was a daughter of Thomas and Irene Ellsworth, and had been a Fairfield resident since 1960.
She was a 1952 graduate of The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall and later graduated from Katharine Gibbs in New York City.
Klein worked as a bookkeeper at Manpower Temporary Services and for the Fairfield Municipal Federal Credit Union.
A tireless supporter for the mentally handicappe, he was an active member of F.A.A.R.H. and regular donor to the Kennedy Center.
Klein attended Mass regularly and was a member of the Legion of Mary.
She was a member of the Gaelic American Club, but above all else, was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Survivors include two children, Thomas Klein and his wife, Karen of Fairfield and Patrice Klein of Fairfield; a sister, Jane Martin of Orange, Conn.; and five grandchildren, Kathryn, Tristen, Megan, Tug and Nolan.
She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Klein, and two sons, Billy and James Klein. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday, April 7, from 4-8 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S. Benson Road, Fairfield.
